RESIDENCE   PERMIT

All students who are not Turkish citizens or residents are considered international students and need a residence permit. In order to get a residence permit you have to apply to the Turkish Security Department Foreigners’ Office.  You have to apply for  your residence permit within one month after your arrival date in Turkey.
Below are the requirements for the residence permit:

• Official Document for application: You will get it from Beytepe Registrars’ Office
• Passport and copies of the “visa page”, “entry stamp page” and “identity page”
• 5 original photos the same as the one in your passport
• 91 Turkish Liras, approximately  45 Euros  (this amount can vary  year by year)

European Union Office will take the Erasmus students to the Police Station to get their residence permission, however, every semester this will be done only once and the students must remember that it will be hard for them to take their permits by themselves.
